D2C – Design To Cost

Design to Cost – a paradigm as a necessary but not sufficient condition for a product or service to be competitive. In the planning and design stage of a new product, approximately 60% and 20% respectively of its final cost is fixed, which is why, during these phases we have the opportunity to optimize it. The design of new products, necessarily must be oriented to the needs and preferences of customers, at a cost not exceeding that which they are willing to pay. Under this premise, the design philosophy must be developed to achieve the objective cost.

There are many consultancies: Cost reduction consulting, Cost Consulting, Strategic Consulting, Industrial Consulting, Purchasing Consulting, Logistics Consulting and Experts in reducing costs; but very few who know how to approach a diagnosis and successful plan for the entire value chain, with elbow with elbow experience, working with the Product Development Engineering.

ILPI, Audit & Consulting, is the Costs Reduction Consulting with more experience in this area, its CEO, promoted this discipline in the automotive industry, being responsible for multidisciplinary teams for its implementation and application. The scope of the target cost brings together the entire value chain of the company. We can train those responsible for the organizational areas of your company, transferring our valuable “know how”, including investment, logistics and Capex cost management tools. We can also lead during the training period its application in new products from the development stage to the launch of the same or being your external consultancy for the development of new products.
